Carlo Cangialosi
Professional Background
Carlo is a founding Partner of EQUOR CAPITAL PARTNERS SGR. He started his career as an auditor at KPMG. From 2000 to 2002 he had been the investment manager of FinTech, a joint venture between Telecom Italia and Capitalia, where he was responsible for the investments in companies of the ICT segment. He has a longstanding experience in private equity. He had worked from 2003 to 2022 at Star Capital SGR, where he was responsible for the investments in Italian small/mid-cap companies, focusing on business transformation and build-up processes.
He became a Star Capital partner in 2010. Since then to 2022 he had been a member of the Board of Directors as well as of the Executive Board.
Education
Business and Economics graduate from Università Cattolica of Milan. He attended executive courses at SDA Bocconi School of Management and obtained his Executive MBA at IMD Business School of Lausanne.
Giovanni Fregnan
Professional Background
Giovanni is a founding Partner of EQUOR CAPITAL PARTNERS SGR. He started his career at SASIB, an international group active in the plant and automated machinery sector. From 1993 to 2002 he had worked for the American multinational company Arvin Meritor Industries, active in the automotive sector, and as the CEO he realized the turnaround of its Italian branch. From 2003 to 2012, as the CEO, he had managed the Italian and French subsidiaries of the Swiss group Zehnder, active in the hydraulic-heating-sanitary sector, where he drove its operational turnaround. From 2012 to 2021 he had held the roles of M&A consultant, director, and temporary manager for small-mid cap Italian companies in the hydraulic, automated plants and household appliances sectors. From 2016 to 2019 he had served as the CEO of Slim S.p.A., portfolio company of the fund Quantum Capital Partners, and he led the turnaround and the development of the Slim Group, with 3 branches across Italy and Germany.
Education
Business and Economics graduate from Università Alma Mater Studiorum of Bologna. He obtained his Master in Business Crisis Management at SAF Scuola di Alta Formazione of Emilia-Romagna. He is a chartered accountant.
Roberto Pisa
Professional Background
Roberto is the President of EQUOR CAPITAL PARTNERS SGR. He has a long operational and financial experience in contexts of business distress. In 2013 he founded CL Partners, a consulting firm focusing on corporate and financial restructuring. He has 25 years of experience in several managing roles, e.g.: President and CEO of GE Lighting Systems, Managing Director at Pirelli Calvi, Managing Director of the Fiat Group, CEO of Euralcom, CEO of Sirti S.p.A., Executive Chairman of Lifeanalytics. He has 10 years of experience in the private equity business as a Senior Partner at BC Partners and as President of Finlombarda SGR. He led, also as CRO, many relevant debt-restructuring operations e.g.: NMS, Italtel; Tiscali and Sirti. He also worked on several corporate merger operations. He started his professional career at McKinsey in Belgium and then in Italy. He is a Chartered Expert Business Negotiator (Esperti Negoziatori d’Impresa under the Italian law).

Political Economy graduate from Bocconi Univeristy of Milan. He obtained his MBA at Leuven Univesity in Belgium. He also obtained the French Baccalauréat and the Program International Management from HEC Paris.
Lorena Ponti
Professional Background
Lorena is a founding Partner of EQUOR CAPITAL PARTNERS SGR. Formerly, she worked in a finance boutique in Milan as an advisor to under-performing companies as well as to investors. In 2016, teaming with Valentina Roggiani, she founded PeR consulting, a consulting firm focusing on advising underperforming companies. She has an extensive experience in financial restructuring and business turnaround. She served as CRO and corporate liquidator. She is an independent director for several companies. She started her professional career in the Debt Capital Market division at Unicredit and worked in the auditing division at KPMG. She is a Chartered Expert Business Negotiator (Esperti Negoziatori d’Impresa under the Italian law). She is a member of the Board of Directors of TMA-Turnaround Management Association. She is often invited to turnaround conferences as a speaker or panellist.

Francesco Rigamonti
Professional Background
Francesco is a founding Partner of EQUOR CAPITAL PARTNERS SGR. He started his professional career at Gallo & Co., an advisory firm focusing on debt restructuring. From 2000 to 2017 he had worked at Deutsche Bank in Milan and London: until 2003 he had been responsible for Italian strategic participations within the corporate development division; from 2003 to 2006 he had coordinated the restructuring of Morgan Grenfell Private Equity fund’s portfolio, and from 2007 to 2017 he had worked in Private Equity division of Deutsche Bank, becoming over time Co-head of Co-Investments. From 2017 to 2021 he had worked for Quantum Capital Partners covering the Italian market.

Valentina Roggiani
Professional Background
Valentina is a founding Partner of EQUOR CAPITAL PARTNERS SGR. In 2016 she founded with Lorena Ponti PeR consulting, a consulting firm focusing on advising underperforming companies. Formerly, she worked in a finance boutique in Milan as an advisor to under-performing companies and as well as to investors. She has an extensive experience in financial restructuring and business turnaround. She is an independent director for several companies in the luxury business. She started her career in the auditing for financial intermediaries division at PwC and later she worked for Meliorbanca in the M&A and debt restructuring department.

Corporate Finance graduate from Bocconi University of Milan. She also obtained her Master of Science Degree in Administration, Finance and Control from the same institution.
Maria Dulesova
Professional Background
Maria is the CFO of EQUOR CAPITAL PARTNERS SGR. Formerly, she worked as a Finance Associate at Ambienta SGR, a pan-European private equity fund manager focusing on environmental sustainability. At Ambienta she was mainly responsible for the development and updating of the business plan as well as for quarterly performance monitoring of the company. In addition, Maria managed the portfolio valuation process and was responsible for the preparation of quarterly reports for investors as well as for monitoring of funds’ KPIs and performance.
Previously, Maria gained experience in Transaction Advisory Services at EY and in Audit at Deloitte, with particular focus on Financial Intermediaries and Asset Management companies.

International Economics, Management and Finance graduate from Bocconi University of Milan. She later obtained her Master of Science Degree in Accounting, Financial Management and Control with major in Corporate Finance from the same institution.
Silvia Stefini
Professional Background
Silvia is Chief Risk Officer, responsible for Risk Management, Compliance and AML at EQUOR CAPITAL PARTNERS SGR. Governance and risk management expert, she is an independent director, a member of Audit and Risk Committees, and she chairs the Climate Governance Initiative’s Italian Chapter, focusing on climate change mitigation strategies. Formerly, she had developed an extensive experience as a manager in American multinational companies (Standard & Poor’s, McKinsey, General Electric), responsible for corporate finance and risk management in the infrastructures and energy sectors.

Political Economy graduate from Bocconi University of Milan. She obtained her MBA in Finance from the City University Business School of London, and she completed several governance programs, including the International Director Program at the INSEAD of Fontainebleau.
